Have an interest in the arts? The Biggs Museum of American Art, located in downtown Dover, is looking for volunteers. The Museum houses a vast collection of fine and decorative arts from 1700 to the present and features four changing exhibitions per year. Each year the Museum offers a wide variety of educational school and group tours, exciting children’s programs, fascinating adult lectures and a variety of fabulous social events.
In the galleries, office, at special events, at the Visitor Service Desk, or elsewhere in and out of the Museum, volunteer service is invaluable to making the Biggs Museum operate smoothly. From daily tasks to exhibition openings, volunteers can serve on a weekly, monthly or as-needed basis. Benefits include half-price admission for programs and exhibition openings, knowledge of fine and decorative arts and the opportunity to meet new individuals with similar interests.
