Tours of the Permanent Collection
The Biggs offers free tours to school groups. Tours of our permanent collection can be integrated into a variety of classes including visual arts, American and Delaware history, and language arts. We are happy to work with educators to focus a tour on works that relate to the topics addressed in specific classes.
Saint John’s Bible Tours
In conjunction with our current exhibit, Illuminating the Word: The Saint John’s Bible, we are offering tours specifically designed for school groups. These tours are complimented with an educator packet that includes an introduction to the exhibit, an example worksheet that educators can review with their students before their visit, and a sample of the activity we include in the tour. This activity can be adjusted to suit the age level of the school group and we’ve worked with some groups to develop curriculum specific activities for their students.
