Calling all undercover agents. An artwork at the Biggs has gone missing and we need your help! Team up for super sleuthy spy training this summer. Working independently and as a team your camper will solve mysteries, create invisible art, and send secret messages, all in order to help figure out which of our sketchy staff stole the missing artwork. To register or for more information, call us, beep us, if you want to reach us.

Unofficial and Completely Unlicensed Time Traveling Children Adventure Camp

On their adventures your camper will encounter exciting animals, art, and creatures of the past, present, and future. Whether they are discovering dinosaurs or inventing new technology of the future your camper will take a wild ride across time and space here in the Biggs Studio.

But…Is It Art?

Monday, July 24 – Friday, July 28, 2023

Ages 10 – 13

This camp explores all the types of art that make you think “wait… but….. is it art?” We hear you when you say “my kid could do that” and now they can! Campers will explore unconventional methods, movements, and media of the Modern and Contemporary Periods while wading into the discourses of the academic art world.

Is destruction art?
Is it too simple?
Why is this in a museum?
What makes art bad?
If you copy someone else is it yours?
Can a chair be art?

Let your camper decide.

Rave Reviews

Here’s What Last Year’s Parents Had to Say:

Thank you to the Biggs Museum of American Art for an amazing week at art camp! Natalie had the best week ever! She had such a good time that she cried when I picked her up at the end of her last day today. She made great friends she didn’t want to leave! She worked with so many different mediums and created so many amazing pieces. Each day was a different theme and each day she came home to tell me all about that day’s theme! So glad she had the opportunity to do what she loves for 5 full days.

I have to give a HUGE shout out to the Biggs Museum of American Art and Kristen Matulewicz. Ashton attended art camp there last week and had the best time. Camp was well organized and full of great activities. We were super pleased with the experience. We will definitely be signing her up again.
