Biggs Museum of American Art

The earliest objects in the Biggs collection are exhibited here, including a set of mid-eighteenth-century chairs made for Vincent Loockerman by a Dover craftsman. A c.1760 portrait of a New Castle lady by John Hesselius, a rare pair of Bancroft Woodcock silver canns, and a group of Delft ceramics are among the objects featured.
