Deborah Johnson, a Delaware By Hand artist member of the Biggs Museum, creates fiber-based artworks that have been featured in museums and galleries throughout the US. She specializes in international heirloom fiber techniques including: Northern European, Native American and Middle Eastern practices. After a short tour of the current Small Tapestry International IV exhibition, Deborah will demonstrate how to start a two-inch silk tapestry using a small PVC loom while showing examples of her own masterful tapestries. All materials are included and yours to keep after the workshop.
