Adult’s Creator Space: Creating Illuminations with Susan Kelly vonMedicus

Description: Award-winning iconographer Susan Kelly vonMedicus (http://susanvonmedicus.com/) will begin both workshops with a 30 minute PowerPoint on the history of illuminated manuscripts followed by a 2.5 hour intensive workshop on hand-painted gilded “Versals”, or initials. All work will be on real vellum using the finest 23K gold leaf, inks, feather quills, mineral pigments and egg tempera paints. Materials are included and your artwork is yours to keep, open to all skill levels.
