Event: Biggs Kids: Cutaway Illustrations

Price: Free, Children Ages 5-10
Description: Nancy Carol Willis is an award-winning author, illustrator and nature lover. In conjunction with the Delaware Book Festival, Mrs. Willis will read a children’s story complete with cutaway illustrations of animal homes such as nests, dens and burrows.  Each participant will then color a cutaway illustration designed by Mrs. Willis specifically for the Biggs Museum. 
Pre-registration is Required.

Event: Painting from the Past: Watercolor Painting from Old Photographs with Betty DeBoer

Time: 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Description: Cultivate your creative core and develop your own style of painting in this Watercolor Painting workshop led by local Rehoboth artist, Betty DeBoer. Using the basic fundamentals of watercolor, participants will work from their personal photographs and will explore and develop watercolor scenes of outdoor settings.
Skill Level: Designed for all skill levels. Workshop is geared towards adults. Instructor will work with each participant and address individual needs.
Required: Please bring one photograph of an outdoor scene/landscape. Suggested subjects include on landscape, beach scenes, light houses, trees, houses, barns and flowers.
