The Junior Docent Program is offered free-of-charge and provides students with a unique opportunity to learn about the visual arts, apply their knowledge to specific works of art, and present their research to their peers. After gaining an understanding of the fundamentals of various kinds of media through touring, researching, and giving presentations about the Biggs’ collection, the students create works of art inspired by their visits and research, using supplies provided to the Biggs through grants from generous supporters. At the conclusion of the program, their artwork is showcased during an exhibition at the museum.
If you are interested in involving your school and receiving a stipend for supplies, please review the link below and submit your application by September 23rd to Regina Lynch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
