The Biggs is currently accepting applications from high school students to volunteer as assistant camp counselors at our summer art camp. Volunteers will be responsible for assisting the Camp Instructor with craft instruction and implementation; supervision of campers (age six to nine); daily set-up and clean-up; and other duties as assigned. Volunteers will assist the Camp Instructor in creating a fun, engaging, educational, and safe environment for all camp participants. Camp activities include painting, drawing, and sculpting, among other crafts.
All shifts are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Volunteers must commit to the entirety of at least one of the following sessions:
- Session One: July 10 – July 14, 2017
- Session Two: July 17 – July 21, 2017
- Session Three: July 24 – July 28, 2017
We encourage applications from high school students interested in art, childcare, and education, but welcome students with varied interests. Museum staff can verify all hours completed in the position as volunteer hours for credit.
